Quelques jours en Normandie pour profiter d’un  d’automne très doux, mais les signes en sont bien là.
Un petit collage qui fait cliché, mais c’est bien ce qu’il y a autour de moi.

A few days in Normandy to enjoy a very mild  autumn, but still you can see it coming everywhere.
A collage that looks full of clichés, but this is what I see around me.

Bien sûr, je n’avais pas oublié d’ emmener quelques perles… et parmi ces quelques perles, les deux derniers kits de The Curious Bead Shop et quelques bricoles.
Voici ce que j’ai fait avec le kit Copper Beeches.
Pour les deux colliers, j’ai utilisé le même pendentif  Round Rabbit, dans deux couleurs différentes et le même fermoir, par contre les techniques sont différentes, et le résultat aussi.

I didn’t forget to take a few beads… and among these, the two last Curious Bead Shop kits and a few others.
That’s what I made with the Copper Beeches kit.
For the two necklaces I used the same Round Rabbit pendant in different glazes and the same clasp but the techniques are different and the result also.

Voilà, il est temps de célébrer l’automne avec le défi organisé par Rita de Toltec Jewels.
C’est ma saison préférée, enfin je pense, pour les couleurs.
Je commencerai donc par quelques photos de l’arrivée de l’automne à Paris.

Time has come to celebrate autumn with the Octoberfest Blog Hop organized by Rita from Toltec Jewels.
This is my favorite season, I think, for the colors.

Et enfin un collier, fait à partir d’un magnifique cabochon en pâte polymère de Sculpted Windows et un fermoir de Joanne Tinley.

And finally, a necklace made with a gorgeous polymer cabochons from Sculpted Windows and a Joanne Tinley clasp.

Ce n’est pas fini, j’ai retrouvé ces petites citrouilles de Scorched Earth, je devais les utiliser, alors une petite paire de boucles d’oreilles:

I’m not done, I found those little ceramic pumpkins by Scorched Earth and I had to use them so here is a little pair of earrings.

Samedi dernier nous avons été  voir l’exposition Mayas au Musée du Quai Branly.
Toutes les pièces présentées étaient fascinantes, en voici un petit montage.

Last saturday, we visited the Mayas exhibition at the Musée du Quai Branly.
All the pieces were fascinating, here is a little collage of some of the pieces.

Tout, les couleurs, l’imagerie animale, les formes, les matières, l’histoire, la culture me poussaient à en faire quelque chose.
Quelques jours plus tard, deux commandes sont arrivées et tout c’est mis en place.
J’ai commencé par une paire de boucles d’oreilles avec les pendentifs de Happy Fish Things, des crochets The Curious Bead Shop et des perles en jaspe aqua terra.

Everything, the colors, the representation of animals, the shapes, the textures, the history, the culture, the legends pushed me to do something with it.
A few days later, two orders arrived and everything fell into place.
I started with some earrings. 
I used Happy Fish Things charms, The Curious Bead Shop ear wires and aqua terra jasper beads.

Puis j’ai continué, avec un collier. Le pendentif et les perles en céramique blanches sont de Happy Fish Things, les perles  oiseaux et rondes  raku noires sont de Mary Harding Jewelry.
J’ai ajouté, des pierres, et des perles de verre de Glass Bead Art.
Je suis contente du résultat, peut-être parce que j’y retrouve mon inspiration, mais surtout parceque j’ai utilisé des composants et des perles de plusieurs de mes artistes préférés.

Then I continued with a necklace. 
The pendant and the white ceramic beads come from Happy Fish Things.
The black raku beads, birds and rounds are from Mary Harding Jewelry.
I added some stones, and Glass Bead Art organic glass beads.
I’m quite happy with the result. Maybe because I can see my inspiration in it, but most of all because I could play with some of my favorite artists’ beads and components.

Voitures / Cars

Je n’aime pas les voitures, je n’aime pas conduire, trop de stress et de soucis. J’ai de la chance, je vis à Paris et je n’ai pas besoin de voiture.
Xavier, par contre, aime les voiture, il commence à les collectionner. Il aime toutes sortes de voitures, de vieilles américaines, des italiennes sportives.
Il aime moins les voitures neuves, pratiques, simples. On en a bien une, pas trop neuve tout de même pour tous nous transporter quand nécessaire, mais bon, c’est juste pour rouler.
Les autres c’est pour le plaisir.

I don’t like cars, they are too much stress and trouble for me, I don’t like driving. I’m lucky to live in Paris and so don’t need to.
Xavier, on the contrary loves  cars. He’s starting to collect them. He likes all sorts of cars, especially older ones, Americans, Italians, funny looking or sporty looking. 
He doesn’t like new, practical ones, we have a not so new but practical one, when we need to be driving the five of us somewhere, but well it’s just for driving.
The others are for fun.

Je pense qu’il aimerait un pick up, vieux et américain.
Inutile et impossible à garer à Paris mais bon.
Alors voici ma participation à sa passion.
Ou comment la sienne influence la mienne.
Et puis, ça me rappelle mes séjours aux Etats-Unis.

I think he’d like an old American pick up truck. 
Totally useless and impossible to park in Paris, but well.
So that’s my own participation to his passion. 
Or how his influenced mine.
Besides it brings me back to  my own stays in the United States.

J’ai participé au défi agate organisé par Lisa Lodge de A Grateful Artist.
D’habitude, j’essaie de m’organiser pour être prête en avance. Cette fois-ci c’était une toute petite avance! Je vous ai montré les perles  ICI.
Ce sont des agates, je ne sais pas de quel type, si elles ont été transformées ou pas. En tout cas elles sont très belles.
Au début, la dominante blanche m’a un peu posé problème, je ne voyais pas trop quelle couleur utiliser avec. J’imaginais un thème hivernal.
Finalement, je me suis basée sur les autres couleurs, ocre, jaune, marron pour faire un ensemble: un collier, un bracelet et deux paires de boucles d’oreilles.
Il ne me reste qu’une seule perle.

I took part in the Agate Challenge organized by Lisa Lodge from A Grateful Artist.
I usually try to be ready some time before, well  this time I was ready just on time.
I showed you the beads HERE.
They are agates, I don’t know what kind, if they’re natural or dyed but they are beautiful.
At first the dominant white color made me wonder about what other color to pair it with. I imagined a winter theme.
Finally, I decided to go with the other colors in the beads, ochre, yellow, brown to make a matching set:  a necklace, a bracelet and two pairs of earrings.
I have only one bead left!

Peut-être que certains d’entre vous ont vu passé un post qui a ensuite disparu quelques heures après, c’est normal. 

Aujourd’hui nous devions montrer ce que nous avions créé avec les perles de Glass Bead Art pour On the Edge of October challenge organisé par Rita de Toltec Jewels, mais la date est reportée au 10 novembre. Mon post étant programmé, le temps que je réagisse il est apparu quelques heures, il réapparaitra le 10 novembre. 
N’ayant plus rien à montrer, et comme je devais sortir mes chouettes pour un projet à venir, les voici dans le désordre.
Il y en a de toutes sortes. En nacre, céramique, bois, verre, métal, certaines ordinaires d’autres faites à la main par des artistes. Vous reconnaîtrez celle de Earthenwood Studio, Round Rabbit,  Gaea, Angel Whisperer, Jade Scott, Green Girl Studio, Blu Mudd, More Skye Jewels, Starry Road Studio et  White Swan Studio . C’est comme un jeu d’association.
Maybe some of you have seen a post which disappeared a couple of hours later. That’s normal.
Today was the reveal of the Edge of October Challenge organized by Rita from Toltec Jewels with Glass Bead Art,  but I didn’t realize until too late it had been postponed until November 10. That’s when I’ll post it again.
So as I had nothing to show you and I as I had to search for all my owl beads for a future project, I thought I would show them  to you.
There are all sorts of beads, mother of pearl, ceramic, wood, glass, metal, some ordinary, other Art Beads. You will certainly recognize the artists, it is like a matching game.
Et je me rends compte que j’ai oublié une boîte et dedans des chouettes de Grubbi.
And then I realize I forgot a box where there two Grubbi sets of beads.
Et une autre boîte encore, ou se trouve mes  chouettes de Tesori Trovati. 
And another box with my Tesori Trovati owls.
Je crois que je suis arrivée au point critique ou il n’est plus possible d’organiser mes perles. L’équilibre est précaire, d’ailleurs en cherchant, une boîte s’est renversée et quelques cabochons se sont cassés. Je déteste ça.
Heureusement les vacances sont proches, je vais avoir un peu plus de temps pour les utiliser avant de les casser. 
I think I reached a critical stage here. I cannot organize my beads anymore. All the boxes are piled on top of each other and the balance is rather uncertain. This afternoon, while I was going through the piles, a box fell and several cabochons broke. I hate that.
Holidays are coming and hopefully I will have a little more time to use them before I break them.

Le tableau d’inspiration du défi mensuel de Art Bead Scene est tombé à pic, parce que justement j’en manquais d’inspiration et de motivation. Je ne pouvais pas résister à ça:

Voilà les couleurs et les formes dont j’avais besoin! Et je m’en suis donnée à coeur joie. 
J’ai choisi des perles en céramique de Happy Fallout pour leurs couleurs, leurs formes et leurs textures. Un pendentif Round Rabbit, des perles en bois recyclées, des graines et un oiseau Bluberribeads pour m’amuser.
Those were the colors and shapes I needed! And I had a blast.
I chose Happy Fallout ceramic beads for their shapes, colors and textures. A Round Rabbit pendant, some recycled wood beads, seed beads and  a Bluberribeads bird to add some more fun.
