Clay and Metal Blog Hop

A few months ago, I signed up for the Clay and Metal blog hop organized by Lisa Lodge from A Grateful Artist – Pine Ridge Treasures

She sent me components by Sharyl McMillian-Nelson and some coordination cultured sea glass beads.
I had a hard time finding an idea, I didn’t see how to associate the different beads, the beads said summer and I was already in autumn. So I finally decided to go with summer, to make a simple cheerful necklace.
I added some other cultured sea glass beads, beads from the thrift store and knotted them all together with cotton cord and closed with two mother of pearl buttons.

Now, it’s time to hop over to the other participants blogs.

  1. My gosh, how creative you are, Karin! I'm not sure I would have been able to think of what to do with this pendant (and I made it, for goodness sake), but you came up with a fantastic idea that looks great in every way! Thank you for this delightful contribution to the blog hop! –Sharyl

  2. This necklace remind me of the first days of Spring!..to look forward to a time when snows melt and warm days re-appear with the first brave flowers. I'm always loving how you re-purpose thrift store beads into an amazing new piece! Beautiful.
